Yum! Yum! If you love tuna and tomatoes, and a little bit of heat in it, this is a recipe for you!
This menu is simple and quick with ingredients you may already have at home. So let's get cookin' !
Ingredients:
- Fresh or canned tomatoes
- Canned tuna, drained (I used light Albacore tuna in water)
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Red pepper flakes
- 1 1/2 tbsp white wine (optional)
- Fresh basil (Optional)
- Spaghetti
- Ground Pepper
- Salt
*I do not put any measurements because I just want you to measure on how much you want each ingredient to be as you like. Just that simple right? :)
Directions:
- Bring a pot of water to boil, add the pasta, and cook as label directs
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add garlic, and cook until golden brown
- Add tuna, stir for about 1 minute or until dried
- Turn heat to medium high, add white wine and cook until reduced
- Add tomatoes, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper, stir and let simmer until thicken a bit
- Add pasta to the tuna and toss until well-mixed.
- Season more red pepper flakes or salt and pepper if preferred.
- Remove from heat, add fresh basil and stir.
